SkydivingSkydivingThings to Do Before I Die... Living To-Do. Dream List. Whatever you call it, you’ve probably either thought about one or started one of your own. It’s a list of things—whether 5 or 5,000—you want to do in your lifetime. It’s fun, simple enough for anyone to do, and helps you set some goals while having some fun in your life.

Here at Living To Do, you can post your whole list, or links to your list (perhaps you have a 100 in 1,000 project already in progress?). Suggest things for others to do—and link them to things on the web if they exist. If you have a cool idea to share or that you made up, post it, too, and tell if you did it, how to do it, whatever you want to share.

Your list could incorporate a number of things—places to see, things to learn, people to meet, sports or physical activities to complete, anything! Maybe you want to fly in a hot air balloon, or you’ve always wanted to learn to paint? Perhaps you started graduate school but never finished, or you wanted to try sailing once but never got the guts. Now is your chance to write these dreams down and commit to doing them in your own lifetime.

Living To-Do Journals also make a great gift; just type up a simple explanation page, put it in a nice binder (you can decorate it, too) with plenty of pages and boom, a great present for a graduate or anyone else who might want to create a list of things to do before they die. Alternatively, you could also do a Things to Do Before I’m 30, 40, 50… you get the idea!

Kids can even participate by making their own living-to-do. Younger children can draw pictures of what they’d like to do, while older ones can create their first list that is sure to evolve throughout their lifetimes. Meet Mickey, become an astronaut, make the honor roll, catch a fly ball at a Red Sox game, see Up… all of these would make great starters for a kid’s list, and help teach your child about setting goals and reaching for the stars.

To start you off, here are a few ideas that you might want to begin your own list with.
