If one of the goals on your bucket list just so happens to be “partake in dance party”, I have a story to share.
Last night I went to a club in the Pioneer District neighborhood in Seattle. I love Pioneer District. Not only is this home to the ever popular underground tour, there’s also a bustling nightlife scene as well.
The club I hopped into was called Trinity. There was no cover and my favorite local trance dj Johnny Monsoon was spinning. I had to go. There were no ifs ands or buts about it.
So I went. The music was going strong. The DJ’s were sweating, as were the gogo girls. Even the wall flowers were grooving. Everybody in the joint was moving. The ground was shaking. Kids stomped and cheered each other on. Strangers linked arms and made merry like there was no tomorrow.
So, yeah… that, what I described above. That’s a true dance party, but then… ah, let me continue my story.
After leaving the club, I drove over to a friend’s house and (if you can believe it) the dance party continued, just the two of us. I plugged in my phone (and started a playlist with all my favorite newly acquired electronic music) into their awesome sound system. The party was on. It made for a nice cap off for the evening.
This just goes to show that a dance party can happen anywhere, it’s all about your state of mind. Myself? Well, I might even be dancing when there’s no music playing.
